  • Strengthening Facility Assessments to Adapt to Regulatory Changes: On May 10, 2024, CMS released the “Medicare and Medicaid Programs; Minimum Staffing Standards for Long-Term Care (LTC) Facilities and Medicaid Institutional Payment Transparency Reporting”. One part of this rule was an expansion of the Facility Assessment Requirements. Effective August 8, 2024, facilities must comply with the updated requirements.
  • Infection Preventionist Specialized Training (IPCO): This program helps healthcare professionals develop skills in infection prevention and control, essential for maintaining safe environments in nursing facilities. It is available to both AHCA members and nonmembers and includes a comprehensive curriculum with certification options.
  • Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) Training: AHCA’s curriculum for CNAs includes essential skills and knowledge, available in both in-person and hybrid formats, and meets federal guidelines. This program is aimed at addressing workforce shortages by training CNAs to provide high-quality resident care.
