TAKE YOUR MESSAGE TO WASHINGTON AT CONGRESSIONAL BRIEFING

Providers from across the United States will be bringing their perspectives to Washington this June as part of AHCA’s annual Congressional Briefing.

The two day conference will kick off on June 4 with an issue briefing to prepare them for talking to Congressional members. That session will include a keynote address by famed investigative journalist Carl Bernstein.

The next day, members will make visits to the offices of their Senators and Representatives to discuss the issues with them.

Engagement may be more important this year than ever before. Late last year, Congress nearly passed a healthcare reform proposal that would have made significant changes to the operation of Medicare and Medicaid. Proposals that would have similar impact on long term care providers may still be brought up before the end of the current term, which ends in December.

THCA invites members to join our delegation to this year’s briefing. If you are interested in attending, please contact Megan Reed at 512-458-1257 or mreed@txhca.org.
