Members of the American Health Care Association (AHCA) and National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL) can now easily upload turnover and retention data in LTC Trend Tracker

The new upload replaces the annual AHCA/NCAL staffing survey and includes data for both assisted living and skilled nursing. In addition to being shorter than the previous survey, AHCA/NCAL members will now be able to benchmark themselves against their peers and have instant feedback on turnover and retention rates.

The turnover and retention upload includes four questions for seven different staff positions, including:

  • Administrator/executive director
  • Director of nursing/director of residential care services
  • Staff RN
  • LVN/LPN
  • CNAs (SNF)
  • Aides (AL)
  • Total all-staff turnover

AHCA/NCAL members with access to LTC Trend Tracker are encouraged to use this new resource. It is an effective way to track progress in the staffing stability goal under the AHCA/NCAL Quality Initiative.

For more information, AHCA/NCAL has developed two help documents: How to Create a Turnover and Retention Data File and How to Upload Turnover and Retention Data. Please also refer to the Frequently Asked Questions document for additional guidance as you use the upload.

Not sure if your organization uses LTC Trend Tracker? Please email help@ltctrendtracker.com and request the name of your account administrator. Members can also email any other questions to LTC Trend Tracker staff through this email address.
