New Provider Letter on Abuse, Neglect, Exploitation, Misappropriation
DADS Issued Provider Letter No. 17-18 to address abuse, neglect, exploitation, misappropriation that must be reported to the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS). This letter replaces PL 14-13.
The letter provides guidance for reporting incidents to DADS, addresses sexual contact between residents when one person is without capacity; adds two examples to conditions that pose a threat to resident health and safety, an outbreak of disease or illness and a non-functioning call system.
