RUNOFFS BRING VICTORIES FOR THCA PAC BACKED CANDIDATES

All four candidates endorsed by THCA PAC in the GOP runoffs for open House seats celebrated big wins last Tuesday night.

In House District 62, Sherman attorney Reggie Smith cruised to victory with almost 73% of the vote.

Ben Leman, a former County Judge, easily won his race in District 13 with 58.4% of the vote.

Cody Harris won the hotly contested race with the support of 57% of the voters in District 8.

And in the race to fill the District 121 seat of House Speaker Joe Straus, Steve Allison rolled to the win with more than 57% of the vote.

All of these candidates were interviewed by the THCA Candidates Committee in a facility in their district. One candidate told the committee they were the first to ask him about health care since his campaign began.

Each of these candidates is expected to easily win their Republican–dominated districts in November.

THCA spread the word of its endorsements in these districts and several members were active in their campaigns.
