DADS Issues Provider Letter 15-31 Regarding Medicaid Bed De-allocationOn December 11, 2015, the Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) issued Provider Letter 15-31to remind providers of the agency’s policy regarding Medicaid beds that are not available for use. According to the letter, DADS will decertify and de-allocate Medicaid beds “that are intended for use in bedrooms that have been converted to other uses if the rooms are not being used for bedroom occupancy on two consecutive standard surveys.” Providers having questions about the letter should contact a NF policy specialist in the Policy, Rules and Curriculum Development unit at (512) 438-3161.
