Time is Running Out to Sign Up For the Eden Alternative Grant Projects

This project will help participants:

  • Identify limitations of current approaches to dementia care
  • Reframe “problem behaviors” as unmet needs;
  • Collaborate creatively with family members as partners in care;
  • Apply skills learned to everyday situations of need; and
  • Help reduce the use of antipsychotics.

To benefit from grant funds, participating organizations must…

  • Be Medicare/Medicaid participating nursing homes
  • Enroll a team of 4 formal leaders, who commit to…
  1. Attending 3 unique educational experiences that build on each other experientially (left);
  1. Actively applying what they have learned back in their organizations;
  1. Engaging in an online coaching event with professional consultants skilled in supporting organizational change in long-term care; and
  1. Participating in all aspects of a comprehensive evaluation process.
