Welcome to July! Although, with the seemingly endless rain and cooler temperatures, it doesn’t feel like it just yet. As we are four months into Medicaid Managed Care, one month out from the end of the legislative session, and one month from the beginning of the duals demonstration, our efforts to support our members are not relaxing…..just shifting.
This month, the Board of Directors will be conducting its annual strategic planning and review session with focus on this past year’s priorities while solidifying the critical needs of future efforts and the priorities of the association in support of membership over the next 18 months. Identifying and advancing the interests of our membership, and reinforcing the benefits that you all provide to communities across the state, is critical to supporting your efforts as leaders in post-acute care delivery.
This month, we introduced the Q2 Commitment to Care Survey. Your input and feedback will help define the necessary course to improve care quality for long term care residents, promote collaboration among providers and stakeholders and achieve the goal of establishing Texas as a leader in eldercare. Be a part of the difference, and ensure that your facility or facilities complete the nine question survey.
Lastly, be looking for the announcement to register for the 65th THCA Annual Convention, held this year in Grapevine, Texas. This year’s convention will be held September 21-24th, representing 65 years of privilege that THCA has had in serving its members. Help make 65 our biggest convention ever!
