DADS has updated Texas Minimum Data Set (MDS) Resources

New Draft Versions of the MDS 3.0 Item Sets v1.14.0 and Data Specifications v2.00.0 Now Available

A new DRAFT version (v1.14.0) of the MDS 3.0 Item Sets has been posted. There are many item changes in this version, including a new section, GG. There are also two new item subsets for PPS Part A Discharge (End of Stay) assessments – one for nursing homes and the other for swing bed facilities.

In addition, a new DRAFT version (v2.00.0) of the MDS 3.0 Data Specifications has also been posted on the DADS website. Along with the item changes and new item subsets described above, these specifications also include many edit additions/revisions and new Section S items as well. Details about the changes in this version are contained in the Edit Change Report and the Item Change Report.

The above changes are scheduled to become effective October 1, 2016 and should be considered DRAFT and subject to change until finalized. Both files may be downloaded from the Downloads section at the bottom of the CMS MDS 3.0 Technical Information website.
