Taking the Pulse of Person-Centered Care

In 2007, the Commonwealth Fund sponsored a national survey to assess the adoption of Person-Centered Care (PCC) practices in nursing homes across the US. PCC refers to a more individualized, resident-oriented set of practices that embrace choice and autonomy for both residents and caregivers. The survey showed that, while deep-adoption was rare, increasing numbers of care communities were implementing a variety of PCC practices.

With a decade worth of PCC development behind us and no formal mechanism in place to gauge how far we’ve come, it’s high time the industry looks at what practices have taken hold, what care providers are currently grappling with, and what’s on the horizon.

The Rothschild Foundation, in collaboration with IDEAS Institute, Perkins Eastman and The Beryl Institute, invite you to join us in taking the pulse of Person-Centered Care!
