More MDS Pilot Surveys in 2016

THCA just learned from DADS that CMS has requested additional MDS Pilot Surveys. CMS is requiring every state with more than 50 nursing facilities to conduct these pilot surveys. The MDS survey will again be a stand-alone survey and will have 2 surveyors (one being a nurse) who will stay 2 days. DADS plans to begin conducting these pilot MDS surveys in January 2016.
