Bill Calls for State Review of Survey and IDR ProcessLegislation that would create a council to study and make recommendations regarding the survey and Informal Dispute Resolution (IDR) process unanimously passed the Senate last week and is head to the House. Senate Bill 914 establishes the Long-Term Care Facility Survey and Informal Dispute Resolution Council. It will consist of members on both the regulatory and provider side of long term care. They will be charged with studying and making recommendations for how the Legislature can help create a more consistent and less burdensome survey and IDR process. Their report will be presented to the next Legislature, which convenes in January, 2017. THCA supports the legislation and testified in favor of the bill when it was heard by the committee on April 1. |
